The news report of wrestler Sputnik Monroe getting arrested in 1960 for drinking in a “colored bar”. Sputnik was pro-integration and portrayed a pro-integration wrestler which made him a hero to African Americans and a villain to many whites in the south at the time. His personal influence integrated all Memphis wrestling shows, and led to all other integration in the mid-south area. He’s a personal hero of mine.
